Our cool vibe Community Nights are back! Mean to celebrate the beautiful views of Rucksack during the evening, we stay open late from 6-8. We welcome picnics, but also, you can pre-order food prepared by Chef Lauren. Sign up for our email letter to find out what is on the menu! We set aside 8 tables for reservations, and leave 5 open for walk-ins, and you can bring your own chairs, cards, or games. The cost is $10/person.
This weekend, Sunday is for BBQ, but Saturday is for tacos & Barbera. Today is our annual Open House at Rucksack Cellars. In addition, or our usual flight of wines, we are tasting our 2014 Barbera from the library, and barrel tasting the 2020 vintage (Futures $200/case and $185/Club). We’ll also be pouring our Rhone white blend called MRV (can you guess what is in it?), and previewing our first-ever Rucksack Moscato, plus a few other surprise wines.
Oh, and TACOS! Carnitas or vegetarian (sweet potato, black bean, quinoa). It’s spring cool today, but gorgeous. Come on out and celebrate with us!

Rucksack is now officially open Thursday through Sunday from 12-5. We have a beautiful new flight available for tasting, our small bite baskets (now sized for 2 or 4 people), and our beautiful outdoor location! And for to celebrate opening weekend – Paul has put together a beautiful BARBERA VERTICAL FLIGHT which includes the Rucksack Barbera 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 vintages. Our Barbera vertical will be available to purchase as well $85/$80 club. You won’t find the 13 and 14 available any other way!
BIG DAY OF GIVING!
In honor of Big Day of Giving, if you made a donation at Rucksack or Madrona today, we will match your donation, up to $500. And when that donation is made to New Morning, it will again be matched! That’s means your $20 donation is actually $80!
TACOS THIS WEEKEND!
Want to extend your Cinco De Mayo festive mood? Lauren Clark will be serving up Pork or Squash tacos at Rucksack on Saturday! Those taco’s are paired with our Zinfandel and Chardonnay. So get 2 taco’s and a glass of wine for $15.00. We couldn’t be more excited to have Lauren’s awesome flavors being served more often at Rucksack! Stay turned for more opportunities to sample her delicious meals!
We had a great 2021 season at Rucksack Cellars. We have now closed for the winter and will be open again in late April or May. If you need to stock up on your Rucksack wines, or pickup a club shipment, please visit our sister winery Madrona Vineyards, and we will be happy to assist you. We look forward to an exciting 2022!
We are excited to have your November Club wines available for pick-up! If you are unable to pick them up at Rucksack Cellars prior to it’s closing for the season, you can pick them up at Madrona Vineyards, our sister winery.
