The new face at Rucksack Cellars
We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the Rucksack Family, Douglas Giorgis. We’ve known Douglas and his family for quite some time, having met years ago up near Quincy at a Dude Ranch. With the time horseback riding and beers (and wine) in the ranch’s saloon, we quickly found out that Douglas had a real interest in wine.
Jump forward several years, and the Giorgis Family (Mary, Flynn and Luca) have moved up from San Francisco into the thriving metropolis of Pleasant Valley. And the beginnings of their dreams of making wine have come true with the planting of 6 acres of grapes (Fiano, Cabernet Franc, Barbera and some other variety).
